Floating Back“Gee Thomas, here’s an idea: get your Pradalicious but out and help me push.”  There I stood, knee deep in murky water, the smell of wet dog oddly permeating the top layer of the lake, and my feet continuously sinking into the soft, mush of the swampy floor.  Each fallen branch, every slimy vine to brazenly grace my toes took my mind to various made-for-TV science fiction movies where everyone gets eaten by a freakishly, unreal monster living in the dark depths of the bog.  My haphazardly rolled up jeans were beginning to slide down my legs and there was nothing to be done.  I cringed as Floating Back

Sleeper TownThe blue highway sign stood strong before me, disuniting the desert of the southwest into the Arizona Desert, and the Nevada desert, and so on, as though each state had its own individual desert.  ‘Welcome to Arizona – The Grand Can--’ the sign read, the end bit having been corroded away by earthy-brown rust.  I stood up and kick-started the old, tarnished motorbike. My favorite words are prognosticate and vacillate. The smell of oranges and orange blossoms puts a spring in my step. I totally give a damn about an Oxford comma. I invent brownie recipes, like German Chocolate Cinnamon or Orange-Vanilla. I can imitate Katherine Hepburn... sometimes. Baseball is my favorite sport. I love violent action films. I'll take a tall glass of OJ over anything caffeinated. To me, nothing smells better than a rose, so buy me those. My favorite pastimes include hanging out in trees, building complex societies out of LEGOS, and digging for dinosaur bones in the the sandbox. I like pie, especially cherry.

I've got big plans, but they will take some time.

Pictures from such distant lands as Australia and France.
More from England.
In the future, there will be shots from around all Europe.

Prose and poetry will take a back seat for a while. I might get out one or two short pieces here and there, but I'm never fully happy with my writing in the way that I am with my photography.

We shall just have to wait and see what arrives.
